With a lot of Oregon sportsmen and women finding out they didn’t draw their spring bear tag today questions are flying as to why the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife doesn’t issue more spring bear tags. Oregon’s black bear population has been on the rise since the 1994 ban on dogs and bait, yet most people have to wait 4 or 5 years for a chance to hunt bears in the spring. What do you think? Should the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife issue more tags for the spring bear hunt? Should they offer a general season instead of a draw hunt?
