Pendleton, OR – The next step for the Oregon Outdoor Council’s cougar management bill [HB 2624A] rests in the hands of Senate President Peter Courtney. The bill was sent to his office after passing the House of Representatives on the 23rd with broad bi-partisan support. Today OOC President, Stan Steele, sent Senator Courtney a letter requesting a meeting with the Senator and the entire OOC Advisory Committee to discuss the bill and ask for his support in moving the bill through the process so it can receive a vote on the Senate floor.
