Columbia River Youth Waterfowl Hunt

We have some spots open for the 2014 Youth Hunt which takes place on the Lower Columbia River, September 20, 2014. This is the federal hunt for youth 15 years of age and younger. The ODFW Mentored Hunt program does not qualify for this date because it is a youth only hunt; adults are not authorized for this hunt. Each youth must have a Oregon hunter safety card, and all associated licenses, stamps, etc. We will provide the location, decoys, guides, and boats required for the hunt. The kids have a great time, the weather generally mild, and the kids typically get their birds by mid-morning. Last year, one lucky youth hunter even got a banded pintail!

If you have a youth, or know of a kid who may be interested in participating in the hunt, feel free to contact me via email at, or phone 503-816-8654.

For those kids who might not have waders, appropriate clothes, shotgun, or other items – don’t be discouraged! Please contact me anyways, we have a limited amount of supplies on hand but want to make every effort possible to put youth on birds.
